Mid-day nap in the woods

With the summer upon us I often take the twins off to the local woods to ease them off to sleep mid-day. Usually I run them home and pop them into their cots to finish their naps, but sometimes it's just too pleasant to leave...

Pointy sleepy

Matthew's taken to pointing at everything, including our big old noses.

He walks!

There I was, cleaning the kitchen floor on my hands and knees (no, really) and out of the corner of my eye I notice Matthew toddling towards me! We logged him taking a mini-step a few days ago but he's only just started taking multiple steps. It's taken me a couple of days to capture it on film - hope you like it:

Chiltern Steam Rally

I love traction engines and dragged the family to the Chiltern Steam Fair, wondering if the bubbas would find the steam and the noise unsettling. I needn't have worried - Matthew slept for most of the time.

Still a bit small for the carousel. Maybe next year.

Matthew travels in the boot now. He likes it.
