Helen and Stevie

We don't get many visitors staying overnight so we were very happy when Helen and Stevie came to stay at the weekend. Here's Stevie attacking Sophie with a tiger...

She survived.

Pub lunches are always fun for the Baby Babers.

Back home for a romp in the garden with Steve.

Sorry Mummy, you're hair needs a tweak.

Back indoors for some See Saw Marjory Daw.

And a barbecue to end the day.

Daddy...you're not paying us enough attention

So here I am, trying to earn a little money freelancing. Does Sophie care? Does Matthew? You judge for yourself.

The fruit course

Oh they love their fruit! 50% taste and 50% mess.

Call me Dracoool...

Not sure if this is my best look...

Or this.

Give me more fruit.

Mid-day nap in the woods

With the summer upon us I often take the twins off to the local woods to ease them off to sleep mid-day. Usually I run them home and pop them into their cots to finish their naps, but sometimes it's just too pleasant to leave...

Pointy sleepy

Matthew's taken to pointing at everything, including our big old noses.

All that pointing takes it out of a bubba...

He walks!

There I was, cleaning the kitchen floor on my hands and knees (no, really) and out of the corner of my eye I notice Matthew toddling towards me! We logged him taking a mini-step a few days ago but he's only just started taking multiple steps. It's taken me a couple of days to capture it on film - hope you like it:

Here they both are practicing standing up. Sophie's working on her kung fu at the same time.

Chiltern Steam Rally

I love traction engines and dragged the family to the Chiltern Steam Fair, wondering if the bubbas would find the steam and the noise unsettling. I needn't have worried - Matthew slept for most of the time.

Still a bit small for the carousel. Maybe next year.

Matthew travels in the boot now. He likes it.
